Mac Swan has a long-standing interest in real estate based in home ownership in Lake County for over 30 years and as an owner of Flathead Lakefront property in Cat Bay, purchased by his family in 1952. His real estate business has proven successful in two separate brokerages for well over a decade. His intimate knowledge of Flathead Lake, the Polson area, plus a network of friends and acquaintances who own and work in businesses and who enjoy the many opportunities of this recreational paradise have been major contributors to his success in real estate sales. Mac earned both a Bachelor’s degree and Masters from the University of Montana. Following his service in the Army, Mac taught English Language Arts at the secondary level in Polson Public Schools and for many years coached students involved in the speech program. He is a published writer and lists excellent listening skills as one of the major contributors to his success. He is a member of Rotary International and current President of Mission Valley Live, a non-profit corporation providing live performance to the community and educational opportunities to students. He also leads the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest as its president. Mac spends free time boating, sailing, fishing, camping and walking or hiking. He and his wife Karen ski through the winter months and enjoy the Montana out of doors. They have two grown children.
